RE/MAX Momentum has always been big supporters of the communities we live and serve. You’ll find one of our booths and our Amazing Giveaway Spinning Wheel or some of our agents at numerous events throughout the year including holiday celebrations, various community events and fundraisers, including ones organized by Fluttery, Momentum’s non-profit organization supporting Make-A-Wish Foundation, Susan G. Komen for the Cure and local school districts.
With the opening of third office this summer in Stapleton, we wanted to be sure our new neighbors and friends knew we had moved in and were eager and ready to be an invaluable resource for all things real estate.
We kicked off our Grand Opening in May with an open house at the new office followed by a Ribbon Cutting with the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. In June, we sponsored two events, the first of which was Theater on The Green featuring the play, The Drowsy Chaperone. The spoof of old 1920 musicals took place at the popular Founders Green at Roslyn Street and 29th Avenue in Stapleton. The second event in June, we were proud to host Best Selling Author and Keynote Speaker Hal Elrod at a nearby hotel. We invited Momentum’s friends and family along with real estate agents and vendors from across the state as our guests. His inspirational survival story and unique outlook on living a balanced life left quite a positive impression and gave everyone in attendance a reason to re-evaluate why to get out of bed every morning.
In support of our nation’s birthday, a group of agents canvassed Stapleton neighborhoods disbursing nearly 2,000 mini American flags in residences’ front yards the evening of July 3rd. Our goal was to provide a little patriotic surprise for the residents to wake up to on the 4th of July – we received many thanks, both while walking through the neighborhoods and calls to the office over the following days. Over the third weekend in July, we were one of the non-beer related sponsors of Stapleton’s Beerfest. Also taking place at the Founders Green, there were around 50 different breweries, a handful of local food trucks and the event attracted around 2,000 residents and beer fans from the surrounding area. Our free koozies were a big hit among the festival’s attendees!
The first weekend in August, we were back on the Founders Green to sponsor a concert played by the Jeff Brinkman Band. Iowa born, Jeff eventually found his way to Colorado where he settled in to focus on music. His soft, soulful, contemporary, folk-like sound started gaining regional notoriety and eventually national, inspiring a nationwide tour. His band was also featured on FOX’s 3rd Season of the XFactor, where he drew praise from the likes of Simon Cowell and Kelly Rowland. It was a beautiful evening of picnicking, spending time with great people and enjoying amazing music. News of our booth’s Amazing Giveaway Spinning Wheel traveled fast among the kids at the event, as candy was the primary item they could win by spinning. We nearly ran out!
Our final event of the year, Stapleton Rocks: A Concert for a Cause, took place at the Shops at Northfield. It was a day long concert of local, amateur talent and supported the Denver Children’s Home (DCH), an organization that helps children and families that struggle with the effects of poverty, abuse, neglect, exposure to violence or suffer from chronic mental health problems including learning disabilities. It raised money by selling tickets ($2 each) for the activities – Bungee Trampoline, Hamster Ball, Skateboard Simulator, Stilt Party, Face Painting and Balloon Sculptures, as well as selling a variety of concessions! There was also a Police and Fire Fighter Museum featuring antique and vintage service vehicles. We were proud to be a part of the day’s activities and also enjoyed taking turns checking out everything the event had to offer.
Our other two offices in Brighton and Westminster are just as involved in their communities as well. Check out our website or like us on Facebook and check in periodically to see what we’re up to – we’ll give you plenty of reasons to get out of the house and into some fun!
